It’s my understanding that the above quote means, essentially, that there isn’t room for two kings in one kingdom. Both Romney and Gingrich can’t be the Republican presidential nominee. And it is looking increasingly likely that the crown is going to go to Romney.

My brother-in-law in Boston refers to this as ‘the devil you know vs. the devil you NOOOOOOOOO!!!’ Despite the exaggeration, my feeling of Gingrich align with the NOOOOOOOOO part of the statement. Just my two cents, but this has been a nomination fight that’s equal parts worrying and uninspiring.

I like that quote of your brother-in-law’s a lot. Made me laugh. And I agree with you on the relative assignment of parts between Romney and Gingrich.
