“Shall quips and sentences and these paper bullets of the brain awe a man from the career of his humour?” – Much Ado About Nothing

The U.S. presidential debates begin tonight, and the Romney campaign especially is touting this as a game changer for their candidate.  But can quips and sentences and paper bullets of the brain (I love that last phrase) really portray a candidate in a different light than his essential humor?  Or like Nixon/Kennedy and Reagan/Carter does it more often reveal what’s inside a candidate?  We’ll see…
